• In India the birthday of the second president Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan (5 September) is celebrated as Teachers' Day since 1962
• In India, September 5 is celebrated as Teachers’ Day as a tribute to the contribution made by teachers to society. 
• Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan — India’s former President, scholar, philosopher and Bharat Ratna awardee — was born on this day in 1888. Born in a poor Brahmin family in Andhra Pradesh’s Tiruttani, Dr Radhakrishnan was a bright student and he completed his studies through scholarships.

 गुरु पूर्णिमा हिन्दू कैलेंडर के अनुसार आषाढ़ की पूर्णिमा को मनाया जाता है। गुरु पूर्णिमा, गुरु की आराधना का दिन होता है। गुरु पूर्णिमा मनाने के पीछे यह कारण है कि इस दिन महर्षि वेदव्यास का जन्म हुआ था। वेदव्यास को हम कृष्णद्वैपायन के नाम से भी जानते है।

                            World Environment Day (WED) is celebrated annually             on 5 June and is the United Nations' principal vehicle for encouraging awareness and action for the protection of the environment.

• ´Author of the "profoundly sensitive, fresh and beautiful verse" of Gitanjali. he became in 1913 the first non-European as well as the first lyricist to win the Nobel Prize in Literature
• ´His compositions were chosen by two nations as national anthems: India's "Jana GanaMana" and Bangladesh's "Amar Shonar Bangla"

 In order to maintain the ecosystem , Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has initiative of Pustakouphaar Abhiyaan. The students of Kendriya Vidyalaya donated books of previous classes to the Vidyalaya. The Book Donation drive initiated as a Joy of giving through donations of used book from staff and students. The children are making their contribution for saving papers by donating their used books to their juniors. The enthusiasm of the students was overwhelming. It was an effort to save the environment.”SAVE PAPER SAVE TREE”
